What is SkynetAI?

Skynet is an artificial intelligence in the form of a bot ready to integrate with any web solution, such as forum, page, chat and similar. It is an application that uses the given communication interface to receive the entered data from the user, processes it, and then returns the result in the response. Skynet can be used as a virtual caller, assistant, chatbot, helpdesk on the site or just for fun.

How it works?

At the moment, Skynet is in the process of building neural networks for it, replacing the algorithmic solutions developed in previous versions that were necessary for the development of its base components. Internally Skynet is an application that works on a request-response basis. By entering some data, the user can make it available to Skynet, he then receives it, processes it appropriately, and then returns the response. This cycle is then repeated.

Is Skynet able to communicate only in text mode?

No. Skynet can have any number of input and output interfaces. In the current version it also has a graphical interface (image on the output) and an audio interface (speech synthesis on output). These functionalities will soon be presented on the website. There are no restrictions here - the whole architecture allows you to connect any I / O interface to Skynet in the form of an appropriate class that translates the input and output data.

What can it serve for?

To many things. It can be used as a chatbot on the site, forum and chat. It can talk simultaneously with any number of users and address them individually (it recognizes its interlocutors). It can be used as a virtual assistant in any solutions, e.g. company ones, where quick access to some information is necessary (all required functionalities can be given to it in by Modules). It can also be used for playing, as a chat companion, or as a bot on a website that provides, for example, predefined communication with clients.

What are Modules?

These are components thanks to which Skynet can be extended with any functionality. There are no restrictions here - thanks to the modular construction of Skynet you can easily "add" any, even the most imaginative functionality. The construction of modules is based on the creation of appropriate classes that, by working with the engine using the internal API, expand the capabilities base of the entire system. The list of modules already created can be found in the section Modules. This list will be expanded with new, emerging solutions. The ability to create solutions for specific needs and requirements is one of the main objectives of the entire system

Can Skynet learn?

Yes. Skynet learns all the time - during conversation with him. It is also equipped with a manual learning module operating in several modes. Acquiring new knowledge by Skynet takes place in two ways - automatically and in a user-defined way. At all times, solutions are being developed to improve the effectiveness of the entire learning process. Skynet is not only a "static" bot, like most of these solutions.

Does every Skynet behave the same?

No. Each base version of Skynet is "pure" from the point of view of behaviors and learned phrases. It has only the knowledge base that is necessary for standard operation, while all other learned phrases and behaviors remain the responsibility of the user. In other words - everyone can give Skynet a different "personality".

Can I download it, buy it?

Not yet. Skynet is in the development version and is currently available for testing only from this page. For more interested people, the current version can be made available - just use the contact form to submit an inquiry.

How does development take place?

In stages. Skynet is developed on the basis of predetermined "milestones", which are further assumed functionalities. With each successive version, successive goals are implemented, with each subsequent step being preceded by the introduction of functions assumed in the earlier stages. Such layout of the entire structure avoids chaos in the progress of works and makes the complex architecture be divided into smaller elements.

What are the requirements for Skynet?

Skynet requires a web server with a PHP interpreter, min. 5.6 and a database supported by PDO, i.e. MySQL. These are the only requirements. Skynet can be run on every possible server, under any operating system.

What is the final goal?

Creation of a fully functional artificial intelligence based on cooperating neural networks. This stage is far away in the future, however each next step is closer to achieving the main goal. Finally, Skynet is supposed to be a self-learning system, which will only use algorithmic solutions in the required cases - ultimately most components are planned to be based on the AAN network. In the future, the system will also be dispersed, i.e. with the possibility of dividing it into communicating clusters, acting autonomously, without the need to use WWW servers (there are plans to create binary versions for Linux and Windows).

Can I help you create a project?

Of course. First of all, all financial support will be useful. The project is being developed "researcherly" and at the moment does not generate any income, which is why every help and support is welcome. When will Skynet be completed / released?

It is difficult to say because it depends on the time devoted to the project. As a "research" project, which does not generate any profit at the moment, it all depends on hard work and fighting against time. Completion of all assumptions with the current state of the entire undertaking is planned within approx. 2-3 years.
